A video has captured the terrifying moment a Motorola Moto E32 phone exploded in a Brazilian woman’s back pocket, setting her outfit on fire.
The woman has been rushed to the hospital after suffering second and third-degree burns.
The unnamed victim was shopping with her husband in the city of Anápolis on Saturday when the incident occurred.
Shocking CCTV footage shows the woman calmly strolling down the aisle of a supermarket before her pants erupt into a fireball and she jumps and attempts to get the burning device out of her pocket.
She was taken to Alfredo Abraão Hospital, where she was reportedly treated for first- and second-degree burns, including on her hand, forearm, back, and buttocks.
Part of her hair was burned and she was scheduled to return to the hospital to have her wounds treated.
Her husband, Mateus Lima, told local media that his wife was traumatized by the incident.
