Police Arrest Three Notorious Criminals In Anambra, Recover Stolen Car

The Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, who made this known in a statement on Thursday said that the suspects were arrested on Wednesday by the operatives of the Special Anti-Cultism Squad Enugwu Ukwu.

The Anambra State Police Command announced the arrest of three notorious criminals and car snatchers by its operatives, along with the recovery of a stolen sports utility vehicle (SUV) in Awka, the state capital.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, who made this known in a statement on Thursday said that the suspects were arrested on Wednesday by the operatives of the Special Anti-Cultism Squad Enugwu Ukwu.

Ikenga said the suspects were intercepted by the operatives while on patrol in the morning at Kwata Junction in Awka during which a black-coloured Lexus 330 SUV without a plate number they stole was recovered from them.

The police spokesperson said, “During interrogation by the Operatives, the suspects Ifesinachi Okonwko ‘M’ aged 22 years, Chisom Okafor ‘M’ aged 20 years and Oderah Ebenezer ‘M’ aged 20 years respectively confessed to having stolen the car at Isuaniocha Village, Awka North and are members of the same criminal gang terrorising innocent citizens in Awka.

“Given the above, the Command invites anyone looking for the vehicle as highlighted above, especially residents of Isuaniocha to come to the office of the Police Public Relations Officer Awka with valid Proof/Evidence of Ownership for verification and possible collection.”
