A commercial motorcyclist has been shot and killed by a suspected passenger along Asa Road in Otukpo, the headquarters of Otukpo Local Government Area in Benue State.
The body of the victim identified as Daniel was discovered on Saturday at Otukpo by passersby.
The victim was reported to be conveying a passenger to Asa junction when he was killed around Eno Gas station in Asa
According to Daily Post, it was gathered that as the passenger was disembarking from the bike, he pulled out a gun and demanded for the key of the motorcycle, which Daniel refused to hand over.
The suspected criminal passenger was alleged to have shot him at close range and zoomed off with his motorcycle.
The body of the victim hàs been moved to a morgue in Otukpo town.
When contacted the Spokesperson of the Benue State Police Command, Catherine Anene said she is yet to receive the report.
