Panic As Bandits Go Wild, Kill 20 People, Including Policemen, In Coordinated Attacks On Katsina LG

The attacks, which targeted six communities – Sheme, Unguwar Baki, Unguwar Na Mande, Raudama, Mai Daura, and Bakin Gulbi also saw houses looted.

No fewer than 20 people, including two Mobile Police (Mopol) officers and two Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) members, have been killed by bandits.

They were killed in a series of coordinated attacks by bandits in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State on Thursday night.

The attacks, which targeted six communities – Sheme, Unguwar Baki, Unguwar Na Mande, Raudama, Mai Daura, and Bakin Gulbi also saw houses looted.

The incident was confirmed in a post by security analyst Bakatsine on his official X handle on Friday.



“Yesterday night, bandits coordinated six attacks on Faskari LG. They killed at least 20 people including two Mopol and two CWC and looted houses during the attacks.

“The affected communities are: Sheme, Unguwar Baki, Unguwar Na Mande, Raudama, Mai Daura and Bakin Gulbi,” Bakatsine added.

As of the time of this report, authorities in Katsina State are yet to release an official statement on the incident.
