NDLEA operatives have uncovered a sophisticated drug smuggling operation, seizing cocaine ingeniously hidden within the walls of several suitcases.
The agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, shared a video of the seizure on X on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
In a brief statement accompanying the footage, Babafemi highlighted the complexity of the concealment method, noting the precision and effort involved.
“Strewing the walls of suitcases, in factory-fitting precision, with cocaine must have taken a lot of effort and resources—but in the end, NDLEA officers still uncovered everything,” he said.
The video shows NDLEA agents slicing through the lining of the suitcases to reveal neatly packed layers of cocaine hidden within the structure of the luggage. The concealment appeared to be professionally crafted to avoid detection.
This latest bust adds to the agency’s string of successful operations against international drug trafficking, reinforcing its commitment to curbing narcotics smuggling in and out of Nigeria.
