My Parents Laughed, Played, Prayed Together Before Killing Each Other — Son Of Late Ekiti Couple

The son of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Leramo Caleb from Ekiti State, who died following a violent altercation with his wife in Ado-Ekiti, has revealed details about the events that led to his parents’ deaths.

ASP Caleb reportedly died following a violent confrontation with his wife, resulting in the deaths of both spouses.

Prior to the incident, ASP Caleb reportedly arrested a man linked to his wife in an extramarital affair, which reportedly escalated tensions within the household.

However, their son stated that there were no visible signs of conflict between his parents before the tragic event.

The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the deaths of ASP Caleb and his wife, calling it a tragic and unfortunate domestic incident.

In a video obtained by SaharaReporters, the son recalled that on the night of the incident, his parents spent a peaceful evening together, displaying no signs of discord.

The son said: “My father and my mum were playing that night of the incident. When my mum cooked, she went to visit her sick grandma because her grandma’s body was not well.

“She came back home by 9pm. Even my dad could not eat because my mum was not around. He waited for her to come back. So we ate when my mum came back.

“Even after, we were playing, they did not fight. They talked to each other. They even told us stories, funny stories. My father later went to take his bible and prayed. After prayer, I asked my mum if we should go to bed. But my father instructed me to go and sleep in our (children’s) room.”

However, what started as a seemingly peaceful night turned into a scene of horror in the middle of the night. The son narrated how he was jolted from sleep by the terrifying sounds of a struggle between his parents.

He continued: “While sleeping (during midnight), I was just hearing sounds, I woke up and woke my sister up too. I told my sister that I was hearing the sound of a cutlass, indicating that my mum and my daddy were fighting.

“My sister stood to open the door but they had already locked the door. My dad kept shouting from the room and my mum too. So we ran to call our neighbours, and they pushed the door. So when the door was opened, we saw my daddy and my mum dead.”

Sources revealed that during the altercation, the wife allegedly used a sharp object to sever her husband’s manhood before he bled to death. He, however, reportedly attacked her with a machete before he finally gave up, leading to her death.
