Man Who Trained Me As An Actor Said I’d Fail in a Year

Lateef Adedimeji has revealed that the man who trained him as an actor didn’t believe in him.

According to the star, the man told him he would not succeed in Nollywood.

Adedimeji opened up in a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo.

Adedimeji said the person had given him an ultimatum, saying, “I give you one year to see what you will become”.

“Somebody once told me in the Yorùbá industry that ‘I give you one year I want to see what you will become’. And I told the person I give you one year and I will show what I will become,” he said.

Last year, Adedimeji revealed he was told to “join a caucus if I wanted to be successful in the Yoruba industry”.

“I heard that to be successful in the Yoruba industry, they said you must belong to a caucus in those days so I have to join. So I joined the Afeez Eniola, Bayo Tijani, Muyiwa Ademola… All of the students under them are joined together,” he had said.

“My first day on location I started with carrying cameras. I would carry lenses to follow the cameraman. I would be sent errands to select camera lenses. After that set, I said I did not think I wanted to do this one. This is not what I want to do and I left.”
