A Nigerian medical doctor, Obianma Onya, has taken to Facebook to advise women not to marry a man who encourages them not to have close relationships with their families.
According to her, the plan of such men is to isolate the ladies from their families so that they will have nowhere to turn to when they are being abused.
“Marrying a man that encourages you to have a cold relationship with your own family is dangerous. The plan may be to isolate you so that you will have nowhere to turn to when he starts abusing you. Be wise,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Sunday, January 19.
