Jessica Martin, a US-based Nigerian-German nurse, has expressed fear of rejection in Africa because of her light skin tone.
She stated that she would love to move to Africa but is scared that she might not be accepted because she is fair.
“Hello!! I’m really interested in moving to Africa. I’m Nigerian and German. I’m scared I won’t be accepted because I’m so light. What are your thoughts on this? And what area would I fit. I’m a nurse here in the USA,” she wrote in a Facebook post.
The post elicited varying reactions with many asking her if she believes there are no light people in Africa.
