Ogechukwu Anasor, the fast-rising Nigerian actress, who is also known as Bliss Joseph, has opened up about her experiences in the entertainment industry and her personal boundaries.
The Enugu State-born actress has been in the industry for 11 years and has learned valuable lessons about resilience and self-belief.
Recall that two years ago, the actress shared her traumatic experience with a rapist whom she thought was a destiny helper during the early days in Nollywood.
Bliss revealed that she has certain limits when it comes to acting, stating that she cannot kiss an actress on set or go completely nude.
She emphasized the importance of staying true to herself and her values, even when portraying complex characters. “The entertainment industry can be harsh, but staying true to myself, craft and my passion for acting really helped me to navigate the ups and downs that are associated with the industry,” the actress said.
Cosmetic Surgery
When asked about cosmetic surgery, Bliss expressed her preference for aging gracefully and embracing her natural beauty. However, she also acknowledged that everyone has the freedom to make choices about their body.
She revealed that she would consider going under the knife if she felt uncomfortable with her body, prioritizing confidence and happiness over societal expectations.
“If I feel I am not comfortable with my body I would go under the knife. You know, it’s more about being confident and happy with who you are than being engrossed with societal expectation. This is because everybody claims not to like cosmetic surgery. For me, I like being natural and I love to stay true to myself,” Bliss added.
Use of face fillers or botox
On being pressured to try out the use of face filler or botox, the actress acknowledged that there’s pressure both in the movie industry and the society at large.
“I believe in bracing actual beauty. Everyone should have the freedom to make choices about their body. I personally do not see the need to go to that extent. I think I prefer to age gracefully and embrace who I am,” she enthused.
Goals and aspirations
Bliss shared her goals for the year, focusing on growing as an actress, playing diverse roles, and working on projects that inspire and positively impact others.
She also prioritizes her mental and physical well-being, as well as deepening her connections with family and loved ones. Her ultimate goal is to continually improve herself, striving to be better than she was yesterday.
