Al-Hilal have revealed that it will not register Neymar Jr for the second half of the season.
According to the Saudi Arabian club’s manager, Jorge Jesus, they cannot count on Neymar anymore due to his fitness issues.
The 32-year-old has endured a torrid time since he arrived from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2023.
Neymar suffered a torn ACL in his left knee while on international duty shortly after moving to the Middle East.
Although he returned to action in October, a hamstring injury has kept him on the sidelines.
He has made only seven league and cup appearances, and he scored one goal.
Jesus said: “Ney will not be registered but he can participate in the Asian Champions League.”
“He’s world class. But the truth is, physically, Neymar can no longer perform at the level we are used to.”
Neymar, whose current contract expires in the summer, has been linked with several teams including a reunion with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at MLS side, Inter Miami.
