Delta Governor’s Aide, Gwamnishu Fires Back At Those Telling Him To Stop Posting About Kidnapping Happening Around His Community Because He’s Part Of The Govt

Harrison Gwamnishu, the Senior Special Assistant on Civil Society and Youth Mobilisation to the Delta State Governor, has responded after he was criticised for speaking out about the rise in kidnapping in his community despite being a government appointee.

He stated that he joined the government to help and would not stop lamenting about the rate of insecurity in his community.

The human rights activist has been lamenting the rise in kidnapping in some parts of the state allegedly perpetrated by some Fulani herders.

Gwamnishu stated this in a Facebook post on Monday, April 7, after kidnappers abducted two persons along the Issele-Uku expressway.

According to him, the victims, an airport driver and his passenger, were abducted between 6 – 7pm on Sunday.

“Yes, I am a Government Appointee. If you come and tell me to stop posting about this Kidnapping happening around my community because I’m part of the Government. Thunder from Abatete will fire you. Some of us are with the Government to HELP,” he wrote.
