Actress Iyabo Ojo has stated that she regrets drumming support for the exhumation of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba Mohbad.
She made the statement in a conversation with Seun Oloketuyi.
According to her, she wished she hadn’t been involved in the push for Mohbad’s body to be dug up.
“As a mother, I had to vent, because everyone was emotional at that time, I really wish that we didn’t have to push for him to be exhumed. Till now he is yet to be buried. The video of his neck being broken in the casket I think that was what pushed me out to speak, I regret ever pushing for him to be exhumed,” she said.
Recall that Mohbad died on September 12, 2023, and was buried the day after.
On September 21, 2023, the Lagos state police exhumed his body for an autopsy due to public outcry for justice over his death.
In October 2023, the singer’s father, Joseph Aloba, said that they would not rebury Mohbad until a DNA test is done on his son, Liam.
Since then, Mohbad has not been reburied.
