A Nigerian lady, Lady Golfer has reacted to the altercation between Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Senator Natasha Akpoti during a plenary session.
She asked Akpoti to immediately tender an apology to Akpabio.
Recall that in a viral clip, Akpabio tried to stop Akpoti from speaking, but she persisted despite his attempt.
Akpabio then commanded that she be removed from the house, which only made Natasha more upset.
The lady claimed Akpoti was disrespectful.
She wrote:
“It is pertinent and imperative to note that it’s grossly unacceptable irrespective of your gender to disrespect a constituted authority in the guise of making a valid point or representing your constituent. My core values are good is good and bad is bad. In all ramifications, Senator Natasha Akpota’s actions on the floor of the senate today towards the President of the senate in the person of Senator Godswill Akpabio was obnoxious and should be condemned by all well meaning Nigeria and all lover of democracy. Distinguished Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio (GCON) is a leader in Nigeria and, in essence, should be given the respect he deserves by all and sundry.”
