Jonathan Will Prominently Feature On His Proposed List Of Leaders Who Contributed To Nigeria’s Problems — Sowore

Omoyele Sowore, the Nigerian human rights activist and convener of #RevolutionNow movement, has said he backed former President Goodluck Jonathan’s proposal for two buildings in Abuja where pictures of past and present Nigerian leaders who contributed to Nigeria’s current problems will be named and shamed.

Sowore expressed his full support for the former President’s proposal, saying that he is sure that Jonathan “will prominently feature on the list.”

It had earlier been reported that Jonathan suggested that Nigeria should create two buildings in Abuja to display pictures of individuals who contributed to the country’s problems.

The former President who became the President from the position of Vice President argued that such an initiative would ensure their descendants recognise the negative roles their forefathers played in Nigeria’s history.

Jonathan, while speaking at the book launch of former Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, in Abuja on Tuesday, criticised Nigerians for tolerating bad behaviour from political leaders.

He insisted that political leaders would act responsibly only when citizens begin to reject misconduct.

Reacting to the former President’s proposal, Sowore, a former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), said he totally agreed with Jonathan’s proposal.

On his X page, Sowore said, “Ex-Nigerian President Jonathan proposes two buildings in Abuja to display pictures naming and shaming those who contributed to current Nigeria’s problems.

“I totally agree with former President Goodluck Jonathan considering that he will prominently feature on the list of infamy!”
