Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke has been asked to sack his Senior Special Adviser, Laide Bakare over an outfit she wore to an event held recently in Osogbo, the state capital.

Chairman of Osun State chapter of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Dr. Tosin Odeyemi accused the aide of alleged ‘inappopriate dressing.’

Odeyemi further described her outfit as an embarrassment.

Laide Bakare had organised a show tagged Osun Comedy Fest where government officials and hundreds of youth gathered.

But to the chagrin of many attendees, Laide adorned herself in a skimpy sleeveless blue gown that showed half of her breast.

Condemnation has trailed her dressing on social media since as so many people said that her outfit was a disgrace to womanhood.

Lending his voice, Odeyemi said Laide did not portray herself as a good ambassador of the government she is representing.

He said being an SSA to a governor, Laide supposed to be a role model to Osun young ladies but her outfit at the event underscores her worth.

According to him, “The scenario became worse as she was seen gallivanting around the stage in the presence of some top government officials.

“How many of these attendees can allow their wives or children dress like that to an event? It’s an embarrassment that Mr Governor still abodes such elements in his cabinet.”

“What morals are we preaching to the younger generation when a supposed ambassador is not conscious of the fact that some youngsters see her as a role model?

“Somebody that teeths waxed on her appointment still has gut to dress like that in a state known for its Omoluabi ethos, it is a shame.

“I call on Governor Adeleke to sack Laide Bakare so as to serve as deterrent to other young ladies that may be opportune to have an appointment in this cabinet. Don’t corrupt our ladies in Osun”
