The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two people for allegedly breaking into a provision shop and stealing food and other items.
The police said Thursday morning that the suspects, Musa Isah, who is 24 years old and a resident of Doubeli Chochi Street, and Abdullah Tanimu, 18 years old and a resident of Luggere, both in the Jimeta axis of the state capital, Yola, specialise in storebreaking and thefts.
In a press statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the police said the suspects were arrested after they broke into the provision shop of one Tijay Zirah at Luggere around 3 a.m. and stole the items therein.
The statement said the suspects, who are in custody and being further investigated, would be prosecuted as the laws of the land stipulate.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Morris Dankombo, assures the public that a thorough investigation is ongoing, after which the suspects will be charged to court to face the full wrath of the law,” the police spokesman stated.
