No fewer than ten employees of the Ikeja Electric have been injured and hospitalised.
They were hospitalised after being assaulted by members of the Nigerian Air Force over an electricity disconnection at Sam Ethnan Air Force Base in Ikeja, Lagos State.
According to a company source, the barracks were disconnected due to an outstanding electricity bill exceeding N4 billion.
Another source confirmed that 10 individuals are currently receiving treatment for injuries sustained during the attack.
“We have 10 people receiving treatment for several bodily injuries from CHQ (headquarters) and Oshodi,” the source said.

Earlier on Thursday, we reported the invasion of the company headquarters by armed military personnel, who attacked staff members and other individuals present.
A viral video captured the moment the armed men, dressed in military uniforms, invaded the company’s premises opposite MITV in Ikeja, Lagos.
They reportedly stormed the facility at about 7:40 am.
Witnesses reported that employees and others in the office were being beaten by the military personnel.
The situation caused panic in the area, with bystanders expressing shock over the invasion. Authorities have yet to make an official statement on the incident.
